He's Always Been Faithful

The GirlTalk Blog's post today was encouraging to me. It was about the fact that God doesn't provide grace for the fears we imagine (which is really all fear.) They reminded us in the post that should God ever bring the trials/suffering we fear there would be abundant and strength giving grace THEN. But it will never be here now because the trials aren't real now. I highly recommend taking a look at the post.
It is a huge area of temptation in my life to look ahead to changes that I see on the horizon and to immediately decide what the worst possible outcome of that change is and then assume that that is what WILL happen. I run down the path of graceless imagined fears. This leads to so much lack of joy and distraction from what God has called me to today. However, The Spirit has been reminding me so sweetly lately that every change He has ever brought into my life, be it nursing school, marriage, moving to a new house, has always (without fail!) been fully more wonderful then I ever expected. None of the things I feared in those situations came to pass. He has always been faithful!
I want to honor my Saviour by trusting Him for the future and leaving it in the future. I know that should He allow trial and suffering to befall us (as I am sure one day it will) His grace will sustain me then....but it cannot do so now. Oh, to live fully in the beautiful grace of TODAY!

The Very Beginning

Yes, I have started a blog:) No longer will I be a silent and unfindable reader of other's blogs. I will try to be a faithful poster because I know how frustrating it is to check on your friends blogs day after day only to see the same post staring you in the face that was there a month ago, hehe. Although I am not making any promises that my posts will be interesting.....I lead a pretty quiet life.....and I don't even know how to post pictures! Dave will give me a hasty lesson tonight I think:) Anyway, that's all for now!
